Chang Chun Plastics Co., LTD was established in 1949. In 1957, a factory is set up in Shi-Pai to produce phenolic moulding compound, urea powder, and urea glue. Kaohsiung plant was set up after Shi-Pai plant. For further developing space, Shi-Pai was later moved to Shin-Chu. During the recent years, Chang Chun has built another new factory, Ta-Fa factory. Among all of these factories,Shin-Chu plantoccupies about 33 acres with more than 650 employees. Besides the initial products, present major products include paper copper clad laminate board, epoxy resin, epoxy moulding compound, dry film photo resist,liquid photo resist, melamine glazing resin, brominated epoxy flame retardant, triphenyl phosphate flame retardant, formalin, and paraformaldehyde. Chang Chun has a world-class production facility of copper clad laminate board and the production capacity is ranked at the top in the world. Products are supplied to well-known electronic, computer, and circuit printing companies domestically and overseas. The market of the other products cover electronic, electrical engineering, semi-conductor, home appliances, communication, coating, construction, dinnerware, container, and foundry industries. Kaohsiung factory occupies about 10 acres with about 300 employees. Major products include PBT engineering plastic, formalin, melamine moulding compound, urea moulding compound, epoxy resin, glazing resin, electronic mold cleaning resin, paper strengthening resin, coating resin, textile resin, urea resin adhesives, melamine resin adhesives, and furan resins, covering dinnerware, drink-bottle, electronic, automobile, home appliances, communication, coating, construction, paper, foundry and metal industries. Ta-Fa factory possesses near 77 acres of land, with around 150 employees. One of the major products is insulation paper, which is an important raw material for Shi-Chu plant's copper clad laminate board production. The other major products are instant glue (alpha-cyanoacrylate) and epoxy resin, mainly for part assembly use in rubber, plastics, metal, ceramic, automobile, electronic, instruments and IC products.
